Mitch Axelrod Nuggets of Wisdom: Reframing Network Marketing

Have you ever had a bad experience with network marketing? Mitch Axelrod, one of the Peak Potentials Never Work Again presenters, talked about reframing the game while on stage in Aneheim, California.

Mitch challenged the audience to write down all the nuggets of wisdom that he presented and promised a prize to the person who had written down the most information. With that, I had nugget number one: challenge your audience and promise a reward for action. Think about it, who doesn’t like a reward? Who doesn’t want to be recognized for taking action? Who loves to get free stuff? Okay, put your hands down now.

Mitch proceeded to present his formula for reframing network marketing in our lives. I’ll provide my list of nuggets later this month so that you can benefit from the course. Of course you can always check out Mitch Axelrod's website and get his free ebook to learn some of the information on your own. I think the most powerful nugget that we were given was the one that I didn’t write in my notes.

During the course of the presentation we were challenged to play a network marketing game. Ask everyone you meet “What do you do and how can I help you?” This process guarantees that you’ll never be rejected. Be interested in what the response is and you’ll be surprised how quickly you can build your contact list. We were challenged to keep playing the game over the duration of the Never Work Again seminar. The results for me were spectacular. I have 3 envelopes full of business cards of people I can help and people who can help me.

What do you do and how can I help you? Practice using it in your daily routine and you’ll be surprised how easy network marketing can become. Overcome your awkwardness in any situation by using this simple question. You’ll be astonished at how many people will want to learn about you and help you in return for your interest in them. Mitch Axelrod certainly helped reframe network marketing for me.

The Now Habit by Neil Fiore: Overcoming procrastination

How do you overcome procrastination? If you’re like most of us, you feel badly for a while then screw up your courage, swallow the distaste and make yourself do what ever it is that you’ve been avoiding. I recently read The Now Habit by Neil Fiore. The subtitle of his book is a strategic program for overcoming procrastination and enjoying guilt-free play.

The book is an easy read on how to overcome procrastination in 200 compact pages. Among the chapter headings you’ll find, why we procrastinate; how we procrastinate and how to talk to yourself. The author also throws in some real-world hints and tips on scheduling, meditation and living with a procrastinator.

I was able to read this book in a very short period of time. That’s good news for procrastinators who are eager to get to the solution. The meat and potatoes is that the author proscribes a method of reverse psychology to get yourself out of the blame game and into productivity.

Have you ever had someone tell you that you HAD to do something? Sure, we all have. Well the solution given in THE NOW HABIT is to schedule all about the good things that you have to do in your life first. Things like spending time with friends and family, exercising or doing something playful to help your creative juices flow. In essence, by focusing on the fun things in your schedule, and then committing to intensive 30 minute stretches of work that you’ll get a lot more done in a day.

The Now Habit also has some other unconventional strategies like starting a project with the worst possible quality work. The premise is that if you can do something badly, eventually your pride of ownership will kick in and you’ll come back and fix everything you’ve done poorly. However, in the mean time you will have at least started something. As every good procrastinator knows, starting can be one of the biggest anxieties when facing a large project.

If you’re interested in learning more about the universal epidemic of procrastination, why we do it, how to change it in your life, positive self-talk and the UNschedule strategy I’ve described above, I recommend you check out this uplifting book by Neil Fiore.

Will the book work for you? This blog post is being written using the above strategy. Within my eyesight there is both a Lindt chocolate, and a big shiny quarter to be deposited into my PLAY jar. (See more about my jars here.) These are both rewards I’ll be enjoying after I finish this concentrated 30 minute period of article writing. And I must say as much as I’m looking forward to the treat, I’m also enjoying the feeling that I’m really accomplishing something within a short period of time.

Try reading the book The Now Habit and conquer procrastination today.

The Money Jars – An Overview of T. Harv Eker’s Money Jar Strategy

Have you ever been broke? Have you ever wondered how to save money easily? Have you ever been afraid of what you’ll have saved when you retire? Money Jars to the rescue!

I first learned about the money jars at the Peak Potentials Millionaire Mind Intensive. The jars are a deceptively simple way to encourage pain-free savings without imposing rigid budget rules on your life. Pain free saving sounded great to me, but I like to save. What about the people who don’t like to save and instead like to spend? Good news, the jars still work!

Here’s how the jars break down into categories:
1. Long Term Savings
2. Financial Freedom Account
3. Necessities
4. Play
5. Giving
6. Education
**Independent contractors will want to have an extra jar set aside for taxes.

The beauty of the jars is that you are not restricted to making adjustments as necessary, but that it also forces you to be aware of your money on a daily basis. Plus, it allows the freedom of some guilt free PLAY which is highly recommended in The Now Habit for overcoming procrastination. The money jars focus you on creating good money management habits. Once you're in the habit of responsibly managing your money you'll find out how much easier it is to get ahead in your life.

As an initial recommendation each jar should be stocked as follows:
10% LTSS
10% FFA
50% NEC
10% PLAY
10% GIVE
10% EDUC

Imagine never having to worry about emergencies again. Imagine having money to enjoy guilt free fun. Imagine having enough for retirement. Even if you have to change the percentages in your jars, you could still accomplish all of the above. The only real rule is that you MUST keep track of your spending.

I started my money jars in January and after a couple of months dealing with the cash, have transferred everything into a series of fee-free bank accounts. I track my spending weekly in an excel spreadsheet and reconcile my bank accounts monthly. 30 minutes a week is all it takes. Happily, I’m seeing a real increase in the amount I’ve been able to save for my retirement. There’s lots of ways you can use the money jars effectively in your life. Greg Habstritt - Master Wealth Training Review: Is Greg Habstritt Authentic?

Direct, honest, upfront and focused. These are words that Greg Habstritt uses to describe himself. But should you believe him? Is Master Wealth Training a good investment?

Greg Habstritt is a Real Estate Investor in Calgary, Alberta Canada. I was originally introduced to Gregg at a T. Harv Ecker Peak Potentials course. As I watched Gregg on the stage I was impressed with his upfront style of speaking and the amount of valuable information he was willing to share with the audience about Real Estate. Additionally, he gave away equity in one of his commercial investments to one of 6 graduates of his course that had become millionaires. One thing that really stood out for me was how genuine and sincere that he seemed. "Finally," I thought, "a real person on stage." At the end of his talk, Greg offered a course on Real Estate Investing that sounded like a great opportunity.

I'm not really into investing in real estate, so I decided to pass on Greg's course at the time. However, I felt inspired enough that I have no problem recommending people check out what he is teaching at Master Wealth Training. Just remember, like anything, this is an investment you'll want to research for yourself.

One of my friends took the Master Wealth course in the spring of 2008. She has since quit her job and began focusing on acquiring property to start a group home. I asked her about Greg Habstritts program. My friend has been nothing but positive about Greg and the quality of his content. However, she did mention that there were some issues she had with one of the people he brought in to speak about finance. I don't know who that person was and have no details on the specifics of the issues. Yet, my friend maintained a optimistic attitude and recommends the course.

Inspired, I took an opportunity at another Peak Potentials course to sign up for 60 days of free Master Wealth training. Greg threw in a copy of his book which contains a version of the book Think and Grow Rich which is now in the public domain. Will my 60 day trial be worth the time and effort? I'll keep you posted. For now, Greg Habstritt and Master Wealth Training are in my smarter life plan.

Resale Rights - Reselling Content and Licensing

One of the strategies I learned at Peak Potentials seminar Never Work Again was how to capitalize on Resale Rights. The basic concept is that there are people who offer licenses to the things they have copyrighted thereby allowing you to sell the product as your own and keep the profits.

Confused by the concept? Here's a perfect example, Harv Segal's e-book, Ultimate SuperTip. The book includes an opportunity for a spectacular viral product that is set up for complete newbies to use to generate income. In essence, you can get rights managed products for your use at a very low cost. Harv shows the right way to deliver a short list of really interesting resale rights products quickly and pain-free.

Internet Marketer, Harvey Segal states "If I started in online marketing again I would not bother with creating my own products, I would focus on the very lucrative world of resale rights."

I've read Harv's book Ultimate Supertip and I was amazed at the simplicity of the concept. The thing I liked the best was the price of the book, FREE!

I'd like to think that all internet marketers could find a way to provide their products to people for free, but let's face it, they're here to make profits. I was really surprised that the book was being offered for free and what I've learned about resale rights has made the time investment well worthwhile. My secret? I skipped to the end of the book first.

One of the ways that I'm making use of resale rights in my life is by licensing my photos in several stock photography sits and I'm currently writing an e-book. I'll post more about that later. In the mean time, if you're interested in the book, feel free to give it a read, Harv doesn't even ask for your email address.

Peak Potentials Training: A smarter life dialog on Peak Potentials

Peak Potentials is an organization that can be controversial. Some people will come out of any seminar like Millionaire Mind Intensive having life-altering results. Others will never graduate from the course, having decided to drop out after the first day. Like any organization that specializes in ‘life alteration’ your results may vary. I would like to share some of my experiences with T. Harv Eckers’ organization.

My journey started in June of 2007. I had heard about the MMI course and wanted to attend. Unfortunately the day of the seminar happened to coincide with my grandfather’s funeral. Peak Potentials was graceful and gladly moved my attendance to the next course with a minimum of effort on my part. One of the things that you can learn from Peaks is that you have to continually fill your funnel. They WANT you to attend MMI so they can get you into their funnel and sell other courses that they offer including the costly Quantum Leap program.

Quantum Leap is designed for people who want the full Peak Potentials experience and have the cash to pay for it. The program was recently reorganized and now offers an ALL ACCESS option which allows you to attend any event offered as many times as you would like over the course of three years. Be aware that this is not an inexpensive way to kick off your smarter life. All Access was selling for $35,000 the last time I attended an event. (May 2008) That being said, it does average out nicely over the course of three years and you can make some amazing connections while sitting with others in the premium area. There’s only one front row, and this option can help you get there.

Who are you going to meet at Peaks Potentials? Millionaires and broke people. I can not say this enough: people looking to improve themselves could be starting at the bottom! I have met all kinds of people at these events. Like any other self-improvement course, you’ll see a huge cross section of the population looking for a quick fix to their lives. That doesn’t mean you should keep to yourself however. Peak Potentials can provide an amazing place to network with like-minded people.

Peak Potentials provides a Large Group Awareness Training experience. The number one thing you’ll learn is that you are capable of playing at 100%, but only if you allow yourself to let go of your fear. Most people like to ‘look good’ and carry around stories of what that means. At Peaks events you’ll be encouraged to change your story and that starts early, with a bang, and lots of high fives. Don’t let it scare you off. Most people who aren’t willing to play leave the course or sit in the back. To sum it all up, you won’t look odd dancing, cheering or giving high-fives, because everybody else will be doing it too.

My experience with Peak Potentials has been mostly positive. I haven’t made hoards of money by attending any of the courses, but I have implemented much of what I’ve learned. My financial literacy is so much better than prior to Peak Potentials events that I would recommend them. My only suggestion is to be aware right now that you will be target marketed at every Peak Potentials event. They want you to spend money on their products. At seminar prices for courses are much cheaper than the list prices and I’ve gained a lot of momentum from the 4 courses I’ve attended. I feel like I’m much more in control of my financial life and the introductions I’ve had to other presenters has been worth the money I’ve invested.

I know I’m living a smarter life because I attended Peak Potentials Seminars.
